that might help as well-  GBCI does not want to penalize the project team for things beyond their control - having zero fixtures within the space and no control over core fixtures should not prevent you from attaining LEED certifcation. Thus, the prerequisite allows you to only consider fixtures within the scope of work. GBCI DOES want project teams to do some active work to earn additional points- having zero...

Reduced Parking Footprint on Campus

NC-v4 LTc7: Reduced parking footprint
posted by Julia Manion on Sep 3, 2024, 2:02 pm

Has anyone achieved Reduced Parking Footprint on a Campus project?  We planned to attempt this credit on a college campus that is pursuing LEED Campus Certification. The campus will have two NC builds and a parking garage. The Campus boundary will be replacing an existing surface parking lot. Is there any path to this credit that doesn't require taking count for all available parking on the entire campus (even beyond our Campus LEED boundary)?  LTc7 U.S. and Canada ...

In this case, you do not include the circulation areas outside of your project boundary. You would have a 0 in those areas on the form. You should probably include a little description on the form for the review to make sure they understand this scenario. Log in or register to post comments ...

Acording to v4 reference guide, page 200: "The top level of multilevel parking structures is considered nonroof surface if it has parking spaces, but  roof area if it has no parking spaces ". 24 inches is approx. 60 cm of fill+turf it's not do much so it can be considered as a vegetated roof if your underground building not serves as a parking lot.  Log in or register to post comments emily reese moody Sustainability...

Roof or nonroof surface

An exterior ground area (level zero) above underground parking garage (level-1) is considered nonroof surface? If the underground space (level-1) is regularly occupied (e.g. a conference room), does the above exterior ground area (level zero) qualify as roof?  Thank you in advance!  SSc5 Europe – Southern ...

Some ready mix suppliers have agreements in place with EPD producers or can create them through the NRMCA. Log in or register to post comments ...

Minimal landscape area

NC-v4 WEp1: Outdoor water use reduction
posted by Emily Purcell on Apr 9, 2020, 4:41 pm

Hi, I'm aware of the guidance for this prereq/credit that allows projects with no landscaping to achieve the prereq and two points under Option 1 of the credit. I'm wondering if anyone has been able to use that path with a nonzero but small amount of landscaping? Working on a project now that is nearly zero lot line and includes two planters on a roof deck equal to about 500 SF / 2% of the site area. They will be irrigated, so I know option 1 of the credit is not possible. I'm hopeful that our landscape architect can show a 50% reduction in irrigation water use, but that might...
