NC-v4 LTc7:Reduced parking footprint

Reduced Parking Footprint on Campus

Has anyone achieved Reduced Parking Footprint on a Campus project?

We planned to attempt this credit on a college campus that is pursuing LEED Campus Certification. The campus will have two NC builds and a parking garage. The Campus boundary will be replacing an existing surface parking lot.

Is there any path to this credit that doesn't require taking count for all available parking on the entire campus (even beyond our Campus LEED boundary)?

Hello Julia, It sounds like there will need to be more clarification. Our team has experience with Campus projects, but like regular projects all parking associated with the buildings being certified must be included for this credit. If buildings are not being certified and have associated parking, parking associated with those non-certified buildings do not need to be included. NOTE if there are other parking spaces within the plans send to GBCI, in our experience they must have signs clearly marking what parking spaces are associated with which buildings.
