Emily Purcell Sustainable Design Lead CannonDesign LEEDuser Expert 369 thumbs up October 2, 2024- 12:22 pm I think the credit category and credit structure are really strong here. I like the combination of fixture, process, outdoor, and reused water into a single total water use option, with prescriptive options for each. It allows project teams an easy means of documenting effiicency gains with a more complex option for project teams that are able to model whole building use. The additional points available for reuse-ready systems are a good addition in line with EV-ready approach to reward...

for washer/dryer, adequate plumbing, hot water booster, and storage shelving. Ensure in the building design provisions for water filling stations. Please consider renaming this section from “Planning for Zero Waste Operations” instead to “Planning for No- to Low-Waste Operations”. (Zero waste is a problematic and discouraging term.) ...

Aleksandra Prawda Sustainability Consultant Jacobs LEEDuser Premium Member 12 thumbs up August 19, 2020- 10:31 am Hi Maki I did some (a lot of) research regarding this matter and in my opinion we should follow the ITE Transportation Planning Handbook, 4th edition. I may be wrong as I am not a transportation planner but Parking Generation Manual, 5th edition, does not contain any recommended parking ratios. Also please see the addenda table:  https://www.usgbc.org/sites/default/files/2020-07/LEED%20BD%2BC%20v4.1%20Addenda%20Table%20-%201st%20edition_7-10-2020_0.pdf On the bottom of the table...

Hi, I have a parking lot inside my project boundary which is partially covered by PV panels while some portions are covered by trees canopy. It also have open-grid pavement. Should I account for both measures even when the projected areas overlap? Another question regarding SSc5. I have a passage under a portion of building for car circulation. Should this included within paving area? Thank you in advance. SSc5 Italy ...

emily reese moody Sustainability Director, Certifications & Compliance Jacobs LEEDuser Expert 475 thumbs up October 18, 2024- 12:32 am If the fixtures are the same, then you would just list them twice, one for male and one for female, and assign 50% to each. There are usually very specific, atypical reasons that those two line items would vary in a project. Yours sounds pretty straightforward. While we're here, are you aware of the Pilot Credit available for projects that have all gender restrooms? You can find it in the Pilot Credit catalog.  Log in or register to post comments Maria...
