Reclaimed water from off-siteNC-v4 WEc1: Outdoor water use reductionposted by HoMU WELLTECH on Jul 2, 2019, 12:22 pmHello. Our project is in a very dry area, with very little rain. The design team has already chosen plant species with very low water needs (over 40% reduction) but, to supply with the minimum irrigation necessary for plant survival, our team wants to use reclaimed water. Reclaiming rainwater is not an option, since there are many months a year when there is near to zero rain. Reclaiming water from... |

International Equivalencies for 2 year 24 hour storm?NC-v4 SSc4: Rainwater managementposted by Casey Cullen-Woods on Feb 20, 2020, 6:07 pmWe have a project in Saudi Arabia and are wondering if any other projects have approved equivalencies for the 2 year 24 hour storm? For this particular project location that would essentially be Zero. We are wondering if other projects in water-starved areas are recommended to use a 5 year, or more frequent storm, and for Saudi Arabia in particular if anyone can direct me to resources with daily rainfall values. Thank you! SSc4 Saudi Arabia ... |

Quality Views LEED Calculator- Multiple View Types, Same SpaceNC-v4 EQc8: Quality Viewsposted by Tahani Khalid on Apr 2, 2020, 1:54 amWhen finding the area of compliance for a single room under multiple view types, does the regularly occupied space that is entered for that space change? For example, in my project, the private office is 50m2 but 42m2 complies under View Type 2 and 3 while the rest 8m2 complies with View Type 1 and 2. When I enter this as two line items in the Excel calculator, the regularly occupied space of the meeting room (50m2) is getting double-counted. How are such scenarios accounted for in the LEED calculator? EQc8 Kuwait ... |

New building, 2 floors, 25K EA, some open areas, lots of office and meeting rooms on the perimter, not in a nonattaiment zone. At one test per 5K of floor area that would be 10 tests, 5 per floor. R-1233ze HFO- CFC complianceNC-v4 EAp4: Fundamental Refrigerant Managementposted by Michael Keohane on Aug 13, 2020, 11:36 amHi Would anyone know if the HFO R-1233zd is cleared by USGBC as a zero CFC refrigerent. A number of large manufacturers are using this refrigerent in their large water cooled magnetic bearing chiller offerings. There appears to be a very low CFC element of 0.00034 in the refrigerent depending on the source manufacturer. There is an argument that the ODP is so low that this substance is not subject to restrictions. Its not any banned list of refrigerents or listed as an ODP substance in the Montreal protocol. https://www.coolingpost.com/world-news/german-agency-seeks-ban-on-r1233zd/ EAp4 ... |
