SSp2 Ruling based on Risk AssessmentHealthcare-v4 SSp2: Environmental Site Assessmentposted by Donal Dignan on Jun 6, 2018, 5:30 pmHi All, I'm working on a Healthcare v4 project that has detected iron in significant concentrations on the project site and it appears to possibly be a background contaminate but this is still being investigated. As the risk of elevated iron underneath a parking lot and building is potentially not directly harmful to building and site occupants, the client is considering performing a risk assessment to state a case that the site would not cause site occupant's health and this would be submitted to the local government to review. If the local government deems the risk to be sufficiently low... |

Coordination / separation with BD&C projectND-v2009 GIBp1: Certified green buildingposted by Stacey Olson on Jun 13, 2018, 9:15 pmI'm working on a project with a very narrow lot line immediately adjacent to the BD&C registered project. In terms of separation of documentation, my understanding is that the BD&C project documentation must stand-alone, and be valid independently of the LEED ND documentation. Our GC would like to comingle waste / diversion, and report a pro-rata share for the BD&C documentation efforts, as they can't locate a dumpster in the footprint available next to the new building. If a second dumpster is provided elsewhere on site, they believe cross-contamination is imminent. Would... |

One parking lot will be reserve for the full time equivalent employee. The remaining parking spaces will be dedicated for the highway users. We would like to achieve this credit, but we are unsure which base ratio to use. Question... |

Using "Informing Design Using Triple Bottom Line Analysis" Pilot Credit for a HC 2009 projectPilot-Credits SSpc113: Informing Design Using Triple Bottom Line Analysisposted by Megan Leslie on Jul 12, 2018, 4:18 pmI just went through the process of using Autocase to document this credit for a Hospital project using the LEED 2009 for Healthcare: New Construction rating system. There were a few instances where the options provided did not line up well with this project type and/or rating system. For example, the options provided for "type of building" in the Project Information section. Otherwise it was relatively simple to input information into the Autocase software to generate are report to document this Pilot Credit. SSpc113 ... |

Addition to an existing LEED Certified BuildingCS-v4 MPR2: Must use reasonable LEED boundariesposted by maria esther lamadrid on Jul 27, 2018, 2:20 pmI have an existing LEED Certified Core & Shell v2009 Project where there will be an addition of about 40% more. The better approach is to Certify the Addition as a stand alone building, because including the already Certified building is too expensive: fees of the existing part plus the new addition, as well is expensive to make it comply with v4 as v2009 is no longer available and there are new requirements. My questions: 1- Does it need to be a physically barrier between the existing part and the new addition such as a wall or door, or can I just leave it open or draw a line in the floor to differ LEED... |

excel spreadsheet locked problemsNC-v4 EQc2: Low-emitting materialsposted by alix fox on Aug 29, 2018, 3:23 pmThe Products tab only has enough space for 9 items, and the "add a line" button doesn't work. I copied and pasted the blank lines with formatting in order to add all the items I need. I then adjusted the formula within the budget calculator to include the added lines. However, when I view the summary, it does not include my newly added lines, and the formula bar is locked by password so that I cannot change the range of what is calculated. Does anyone have a password, or solution to this issue? EQc2 United States ... |

Can zone population be zero for occupiable storage rooms for liquids and gelsNC-v4 EQp1: Minimum indoor air quality performanceposted by Edgar Arevalo on Sep 4, 2018, 4:57 pmWould it possible to input zero for an occupiable storage rooms for liguids and gels in the Minimum IAQ Performance Calculator? I ask because the building in question is a maintenance garage with some offices, a garage space, and a vehicle storage room. There is activity that goes on in the vehicle storage room, but not enough that to be designed with its own occupancy. Yet it is being served by a 100% OA heating and ventilation unit. Budget calculation method for build-in cabinetryNC-v4 EQc2: Low-emitting materialsposted by Izabela Kwiecinska on Nov 29, 2018, 5:25 amHi All, Would you mind helping me with calculating furniture-like items build on site? As counting layers of some assembly may be doable, counting surfaces tor a 3D item may be challenging. We have a lot of build on-site furniture, like kitchen cabinets, seating and shelving. How it should be calculated in option 2? The ref guide states (tab 5, page 351) that 'Total emitting surface area... |
