We have an issue about how to perform an EPD project for a client.
Our client would like an EPD for their Insulated Metal Panels used for cold room system.

The credit requires to submeter at least 2 of the following subsystems: irrigation, indoor plumbing fixtures and fittings, domestic hot water, boiler, reclaimed water, and other process water.

I'd like to hear from project teams who have successfully pursued this credit. Is the soil testing actually required or is it a means to an end?

1) Does rainwater harvesting count as a sub system to be metered?

2) Does metering the domestic hot water system mean tracking water usage or energy usage? 

From reading the wording on the first option, for a critically reviewed LCA, it doesn't appear that a company needs to be explicitly recognized as a participant in the LCA - is this true?
