BIO
Patty has nearly 20 years in the construction industry and more than 18 years of experience advancing sustainability in the built environment. She is an advocate for green building and healthy, high-performing construction both at Leopardo and the industry at large. Her experience includes extensive involvement on countless projects, along with years of participation in the larger green building movement.
Patty has been a long-time volunteer for Illinois Green Alliance, a USGBC community. This included a five-year term on the board of directors, in which she served as board chair in 2018. She chairs the USGBC Design & Construction Concensus Committee (DCCC) and is the co-facilitator of the Chicago Living Future Illinois Regional Member Network. Patty also is part of Building Green’s Sustainable Construction Leaders network and founded the Chicago Sustainable Construction Leaders group.
She holds several credentials, including LEED AP-BD&C, LEED Fellow WELL AP and LFA, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management from Columbia Southern University and a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside, Sustainable Management program.
