OA Flow Measurement on VAV Rooftop UnitsNC-v4 EQp1: Minimum indoor air quality performanceposted by William Bates on Feb 22, 2020, 7:24 amHello, We do a lot of projects where VAV RTU's are used. It is very difficult to directly measure the OA flow on a RTU due to the lack of ductwork. it is possible to calculate the OA flow using energy and mass flow balance equations. The equation requires knowledge of the mixed air flow rate and outside return, and mixed air temperatures. Does anyone know if this method is acceptable to the USGBC to satisfy this pre-requisite? Lines of sight- How toNC-2009 IEQc8.2: Daylight and views - viewsposted by Simone Bevilacqua on Aug 5, 2021, 4:15 pmOur company is in charge of validating an office building compliance with credit IEQc8.2- Views, under LEED2009 V3. The building floorplate is shaped as a rectangle that repeats itself on 16 floors, with no fixed furniture, and curtain-wall facades on every side. How are we supposed to draw lines of sight? Do we have to indicate a 90degrees view cone for any arbitrary point? Do we have to trace these cones of sight starting from the façade going towards the inside of the floorplate or should we do it all the way around (meaning from critical points towards the outside)? Thank you! IEQc8.2 Canada ... |
