Part II Multiple Buildings funcitonality

August 28, 2012

This is Q3 2012 and we still don't see the option for Part II projects at LEED Online? Finishing a large dormitory/complicated renovation & addition on Ohio State Columbus campus and need to be submitting very soon - any idea when we'll be good to go?

Time Effort required for LEED ND Consultancy

August 24, 2012

Hello everyone,

I am curious to know the following:
Based on your experience dealing with large projects applying for LEED ND Certification, what would you say is the time effort per stage required for LEED ND Consultancy in terms of Man-days?

Specifically, I’m preparing a LEED ND Consultancy proposal for an International (outside U.S) mixed-use project that covers around 100 acres of land with a BUA of around 700,000 m2. What do you believe is an approximate time effort needed for such a consultancy?

Many Thanks,

Mario

LEED 2.2 Registered Projects

LEED 2.2 Registered Projects

August 22, 2012

Checking the GBCI website and LEED Certification Policy manual (page 35) it looks like version 2.2 projects will sunset on June 27, 2015

http://www.gbci.org/main-nav/building-certification/resources/2-1-sunset...

Looking at the past two sunset dates listed, those appear to be 6 years after registration closed for the particular rating system.

Activity Date in CMP

August 22, 2012

I would like to submit the CE hours using activity delivery method of LEED project participation . I would like to know what is the ACTIVITY DATE (MM/DD/YY) for LEED project participation. Whether this is date of project registered or date which i have involved in this project. Since i have little time to submit CE hours, your earlier reply will be highly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
Ramesh

New to AGMBC

August 20, 2012

Hi everyone, here is a new comer of LEEDuser.
Umm... after reading the LEED online block set up instruction, grateful if I could have more rigid advices.
Can I add one NC project and one CS project in the same block? Can I add projects which I have already registered?
If I am going to apply AGMBC, do I need to add one more project named master site, plus the 2 buildings which I wanted to group. Or I could just simply add the 2 buildings?
And for the fee structure, I can see that a registration master site costs US$900 (member price). Does that mean I need to pay a registration of master site on top of the 2 buildings?

Thanks

What happens when you 'skip final design review'?

What happens when you 'skip final design review'?

August 20, 2012

I've never been in this situation before, and I don't want to hit the button and 'wait and see.' i have a project where we were doing a split submittal. I submitted for preliminary design review and received comments. That review garnered several pending credits that we need to do clarifications on. None are currently denied.

The clarifications took longer than expected to get back from my consultants, and in that time, construction was completed. The construction credits are now complete and ready to go. In light of that, I would prefer not to submit the clarifications to the pending design review credits only and wait another 3-4 weeks for those to come back. I want to submit those and the construction credits all together and just get going on the remainder of the review.

So, can I do this by pressing the 'skip review' button under Design Final Review? Does it automatically kick those design credit that are re-opened and clarified to the next phase, Construction Review? I don't want to press the skip button and somehow the pending credits get put in as final or denied without the proper clarification and review.

Thanks.

GIB Prereq 2 - ENERGY STAR "equivalent criteria"

GIB Prereq 2 - ENERGY STAR "equivalent criteria"

August 15, 2012

LEED-ND forum,

I am searching for a clarification on which specific ENERGY STAR program(s) the "equivalent criteria" statement applies to in GIB prereq 2. As you know, New Homes v.2 has phased out, so can the term "equivalent criteria" still apply to New Homes v. 2 criteria or must it now necessarily apply to New Homes v. 3 only? Can a Builder Option Package still be used to satisfy the criteria?

Is the "equivalent criteria" hinged on the building's actual start of construction or what applied to the ENERGY STAR New Homes Program in 2009?

Thanks for any guidance!

LEED for Schools 2007

August 15, 2012

2 part question

1 - we are at the threshold between silver and gold. Is it possible to speak to our reviewer. The credit we need is in the Energy model and only
involves a 1percent difference. I am wondering if the reviewer saw any
probable ways to save a bit more energy before submitting the final

2 - our review was a combined review. We will not receive one of the ID
credits and I have substituted another credit in its place. Since we have
not received the Final review is this appropriate in the combined review
first round?

PI form 3 - table PIf3-3 Total Daily Occupancy

PI form 3 - table PIf3-3 Total Daily Occupancy

August 14, 2012

I've been looking for info on completing this table to no avail, so hopefully somebody out there can help. I'm working on a 4 story office building with future retail on the ground floor. I've calculated FTE for the 3 office floors (2nd through 4th) by counting workstations. I've used this same method on the ground floor where we have reception. For the future retail spaces, I've divided the square footage by the FTE number for employees and transients provided in LEED 2009 - C&S. The problem? Table PIf3-3 asks for Transients (students/visitors) AND retail customers. Aren't the same? And if not, how do I arrive at a number? And what exactly is the difference between peak and daily average, and how do I calculate it? I'm very confused, and can't seem to find an answer no matter how hard I look. If anyone can provide a sort of "Filling Out Table PIf3-3 for Dummies" I'd appreciate it!
