Checking the GBCI website and LEED Certification Policy manual (page 35) it looks like version 2.2 projects will sunset on June 27, 2015
http://www.gbci.org/main-nav/building-certification/resources/2-1-sunset...
Looking at the past two sunset dates listed, those appear to be 6 years after registration closed for the particular rating system.

Does anyone know if there's an official procedure for v2.2 NC projects that still plan on certifying, but will not be ready for the initial construction submittal by the sunset date? I can't find anything on the USGBC website about it. I found the sunset announcement article, and several comments on it have asked this question, but USGBC is conveniently not responding to those questions (but has responded to others).
I have at least 3 projects totaling over 1M SF for which this applies. They have all been in progress since at least 2008 (if not earlier), and have just taken this long to get to the construction process.

Hi Emily,
The LEED Certification Policy Manual found at:
http://www.usgbc.org/resources/leed-certification-policy-manual
states that the "Preliminary Construction Review must be submitted no later than the rating system sunset date"
There is no official procedure for project teams to submit after the sunset date. My advice would be to contact USGBC and explain your situation. They may allow project teams to submit after the sunset date on a case-by-case basis.
Sorry i haven't fully answered your question, but i hope i have provided you with some direction.
good luck
