LEED Boundary and Complete Building Question...NC-v4 MPR2: Must use reasonable LEED boundariesposted by Roxanne Button on Jan 20, 2017, 7:15 pmThis may be more in line with MPR #1, but it also has to do with the LEED boundary so I'll post it here first. We have a project that includes 4 separate structures, with 1 being on an noncontiguous site: two have occupied spaces ("complete buildings") and two are open-air structures with roofs but no walls (and no building systems). My first thought was that the only buildings eligible for LEED certification are the two with occupiable space, and that the LEED boundary should only include those two. But since the development as a whole includes all 4 structures, I'm not clear... Last reply: Deborah Lucking, Jan 23, 2017, 12:50 pm |

Option 2- No parkingNC-v4 SSc5: Heat Island Reductionposted by Julie Hardy on Jan 25, 2018, 4:13 pmHello everyone, I am working on a project in which we plan to pursue option 1 of the Heath Island Reduction credit. We were wandering if the project would be admissible to option 2 as well, since there will be no parking on site? The project achieves all points for density and has zero-lot-line (the lot is 100% occupied by the building). I tried and test it in the LEED Online form, but it did not seems to be admissible to option 2 (it was admissible to option1). Thanks for your imput! SSc5 Canada ... Exempt from Indoor Water Efficiency pre-requisite?NC-v4 WEp2: Indoor water use reductionposted by Lawrence Lile on Feb 21, 2018, 12:23 pmwill use, regardless of scope/location of those fixtures. I would doubt that there are zero restrooms or other fixtures in the whole building for your occupants/visitors, unless maybe you have a warehouse or something along those lines. In general, if a building has at least 1 full-time equivalent employee (requirement to even pursue certification), there should typically be facilities available for use. Can you... Data Uncertainty and LEED's Weighting Metrics for Whole Building LCANC-v4 MRc1: Building life-cycle impact reductionposted by Brad Benke on Mar 30, 2018, 6:53 pmwouldn't be a big deal (not that it matters for the on-line form for this credit, which, last time I checked, doesn't have enough significant figures past the decimal to accommodate the ODP range of numbers, so everything zeros out anyway). In the LCA world, ODP is seen as relatively unimportant. Of all the categories, this is the last one that ought to have the power to torpedo an otherwise great...
