TVOC or not TVOC?Pilot-Credits EQpc21: Low-emitting interiorsposted by Randal Carter on Dec 20, 2010, 7:58 amto measure PCBs in soil due to the inherent bias that the soil matrix introduces into the measurement. toner cartridgesEBOM-2009 MRc7: Solid waste management - ongoing consumablesposted by Alice Cook on Jan 11, 2011, 5:48 pmThe LEED template for v2008 asks that we check a box stating that 'the materials data reported in the calculations below includes, but is not limited to, paper, toner cartridges, glass, plastics, cardboard and old corrugated cardboard, food waste, metals.' Does this mean we need to list toner cartridges as a separate line? Are there any other items that need to be broken out? MRc7 ... Last reply: Dan Ackerstein, Jan 11, 2011, 6:05 pm |

Occupancy CalcsCS-2009 EAc5.1: Measurement and verification - base buildingposted by Robyn Williams Heeks on Dec 6, 2010, 1:03 pmI understand that occupancy calculations are to be consistent between all credits. For PIf3 Space Usage calculations, we used the default occupancies given by LEED in Appendix 2009. We proportionally distributed common areas, circulation, and mechanical spaces between the tenant spaces / occupancy types. Now that we are reviewing documentation for EAp2, I am not sure whether that was the correct interpretation of how to establish square footages for different occupancies. Perhaps owner controlled spanes should be given their own line in the table? The reason I am stumped by this is because as it relates... Last reply: Gordon Shymko, Dec 29, 2010, 6:21 pm |

Environmentally friendly deicing productsEBOM-2009 SSc2: Building Exterior and Hardscape Management Planposted by Kathleen Seus on Dec 20, 2010, 3:11 pmThe language for SSc2 on deicers is somewhat vague. It simply states that you should use "less environmentally disruptive deicing chemicals, such as magnesium chloride, potassium acetate and potassium chloride, for small areas..." but doesn't say which products are strictly not permitted or should be used for large areas, such as parking lots. Would a sodium chloride product... Last reply: Kathleen Seus, Dec 29, 2010, 2:53 pm |
