Kathy manages Delta’s Buying Better program, a business-to-business group-purchasing consortium designed to provide fully-vetted, third-party certified products that qualify for LEED credits at a significant discount. She also manages the West Michigan Sustainable Purchasing Consortium, the first public-private purchasing partnership in the US. Kathy started her sustainability career in the agriculture sector, working with the USDA, industry groups and other NGOs to strengthen organic food production policies that protect the environment and improve animal welfare. She was the first Executive Director of Green City Market and served on its board for several years. She is an active member of the USGBC-Illinois chapter and is currently pursuing her LEED Green Associate accreditation. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing & Retailing from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in Finance and Marketing.
