Entire floor area counts if at least 75% has a view?NC-v4 EQc8: Quality Viewsposted by Martha Norbeck on Mar 15, 2023, 10:55 pm"For private office, the entire square footage of the office may be counted if 75% or more of the area has a direct line of sight to perimeter vision glazing. For classrooms and other multi-occupant spaces, the actual square footage with a direct line of sight to perimeter vision glazing is counted." Under v4, I no longer see that same allowance. Project is not required to simulate baseline in 4 orientationsNC-v4 EAp2: Minimum Energy Performanceposted by Michael on Feb 16, 2023, 2:57 amI would like to understand the line: the project is not required to simulate 4 baseline orientations because the building orientation is dictated by the site consideration. What does "Site Consideration" mean in this context? Does it mean when the site is small and the building takes most of the site area, then we don't rotate the baseline model? If the building is small compared to the site area (there is big empty land around the building that allows the building to rotate), then we have to rotate the baseline model in 4 orientations? Thanks for your insights. EAp2 ... Last reply: Marcus Sheffer, Mar 7, 2023, 10:07 am |

The existing site had an existing irrigation system still in use. But since the scope of work was only interior and base building components we took the project through a LEED CI certification. This rating system does not include an Outdoor Water Use Reduction prereq or credit. For BD+C projects the ref guide states "projects may not enter zero water requirements for any landscaped areas". So my guess... Last reply: Levi Jimenez, Mar 2, 2023, 9:12 am |
