Parking spacesNC-v4 LTc7: Reduced parking footprintposted by David O'Connell on Mar 28, 2024, 5:13 amGioia Connell Consultant WSP LEEDuser Expert 1 thumbs up March 28, 2024- 3:01 pm Hello fellow *Connell, In our team's experience any parking space that is allocated for use by the building occupants will need to be included, even if they are not new spaces. So if any of those other parking lots are used in part by occupants, those spaces that are used would need to be counted. We work with the client team to get the answer to this. Let me know if this helps! Log in or register to post comments ... Last reply: Gioia Connell, Mar 28, 2024, 3:01 pm |

City Potable Water Analysis ReportsNC-v4 WEc3: Cooling tower water useposted by Saif Abdulameer on Apr 11, 2018, 10:54 amLEEDuser Expert 32 thumbs up October 30, 2019- 9:44 am Hi there- Just found out that City reports aren't acceptable. The test must be taken at the main water supply line near the LEED project boundary, so it takes into account any contaminants picked up in the lines Log in or register to post comments Kelsey Wotila Foresight Management LEEDuser Premium Member 6 thumbs up August 14, 2020- 10:14 am So... Industrial Process Loads and the Exceptional Calulation MethodNC-2009 EAc1: Optimize Energy Performanceposted by Jeff Ross-Bain, PE, LEED Fellow, WELL AP on Apr 16, 2014, 4:22 pmWe have an industrial plant where the process loads are assumed to be, say, 98% of all building energy use. Therefore, even if the non-process building portion was Net Zero Energy, we would not meet the minimum LEED-NC 2009 prerequisite of 10% energy reduction. However, the process equipment specified appears to be new and with exceptional energy performance over traditional equipment. The Question: Can we meet the prerequisite (and maybe get points) by demonstrating a 10% (or better) energy improvement primarily through process load savings? This would employ the Exceptional Calculation Method. Assume... Last reply: Farooq Saeed, Mar 25, 2024, 1:39 am |

Building Envelope CommissioningNC-v4 EAc1: Enhanced Commissioningposted by Chris Bennett on Feb 16, 2018, 5:29 pmhuge cost implications and the credit information is unclear as to what is required. NIBS Guideline 3 is a bit jumbled and, while it has a lot of potential information, is neither clear nor helpful the way it is currently written. How do we get 'bottom line' input regarding what is required? Based on NIBS G3 it sounds like either mockup or in-place testing is acceptable. What testing... Option 2 Path 1- any experience to share?NC-v4.1 LTc3: High Priority Site and Equitable Developmentposted by Emily Purcell on Jan 3, 2024, 4:52 pmHi LEED users! We had a thread in this forum back in 2022 about Option 2 Path 1, with a lot of good ideas for how to potentially earn the credit. But I don't think we ever had an update on whether any of them got implemented or went through LEED review. Anyone have experience to share? What did your project do, how did you document it, and did you submit for review? Would love to get some real-life examples to help future project teams. LTc3 ...
