Design Compliance: Space activity level not addressed by ASHRAE 55-2010NC-v4 EQc5: Thermal comfortposted by RDK E&S on Mar 27, 2020, 2:37 pmTyler Thumma 7Group LEEDuser Expert 67 thumbs up April 15, 2020- 1:53 pm Here is the language from the reference guide: ASHRAE 55–2010, Normative Appendix A, permits use of a time-weighted average metabolic rate over a period of an hour or less. Any space with a rate of 2.0 MET or less must be addressed using standard compliance methods. Although the ASHRAE standard does not apply where the time-averaged metabolic rate is above 2.0 MET, thermal comfort in these spaces must still be addressed. For spaces with a rate above 2.0 MET, address how the project meets the intent of the credit. ISO 7730–2005... Last reply: Tyler Thumma, Apr 15, 2020, 1:53 pm |

Where to look for manufacturer documentationNC-v4 EQc2: Low-emitting materialsposted by Lissa Spitz on Dec 10, 2019, 11:23 amof the Reference Guide states that "[l]aboratories that conduct the tests specified in this credit must be accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 for the test methods they use." Eurofins does have a facility that is certified under ISO/IEC 17025 to do emissions testing: Espoo- Eurofins Expert Services Oy in Finland (https://www.eurofins.com/electrical-and-electronics/about-us/accreditations/). Although the test facility is not explicitly named in the certificates or test reports that I have, the reports do state that the test methods used are accredited to EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. ISO 16346:2013Pilot-Credits EApc95: Alternative Energy Performance Metricposted by Emmanuel Pauwels on Jan 27, 2016, 12:33 pmSince we are unable to find greenhouse gas emission factors with a reference to ISO 16346:2014, could we use the greenhouse gas emissions factors as used by the Spanish National Institute for Energy Savings? This institute administers the national building energy certification program as part of the European Energy Performance for Buildings Directive. The greenhouse gas emissions factors used by this Institute do not mention specifically the ISO 16346:2013 standard, as required by this ACP but since these values are used for the national energy certification scheme we believe they are an acceptable... Product Category Testing as per GB China standards.CI-v4 EQc2: Low-emitting materialsposted by Mahesh Shankar on Nov 18, 2019, 4:27 amWe have a CI Office project in Shanghai, where we are attempting for Low Emitting materials credit. The testing for three categories of materials that we have, are as per GB China standards. In all these results, the VOC we achieve is lower compared to that suggested by LEED(i.e. CDPH, ASTM or ISO methods etc.). So can we use these standards for attempting the credit? Also for flooring category, can we count modular tile product for compliance? EQc2 China ... Last reply: Reinhard Oppl, Nov 18, 2019, 7:09 am |
