When should I submit Construction credits?

When should I submit Construction credits?

July 19, 2016

I have a project in which the building substantial completion is Oct. 2016, but the final site work/ parking won't be completed until March 2018. There should be no changes to the design for the site work from what was originally submitted. My question is: can I submit the Construction credits after substantial completion in Oct. 2016, or do I need to wait until the final site work is complete in Mar. 2018?

Adding more projects to a Campus

Adding more projects to a Campus

July 13, 2016

We have a campus project that has completed Final Design Review. The owner is looking at adding more buildings to the campus, at some point in the future.
1. If the project is still in the certification process, what is the procedure to include additional buildings not previously accounted for in the campus mastersite project information?
2. If all the projects have already achieved certification, what would be the procedure then, to add more buildings to the campus?
Thanks!

How to upload addition documents under MRc1 credit

July 13, 2016

Hi All
Our project is registered as CS v2009. During the preliminary construction review this credit had been denied, after our "claim" we got explanation that the project team is correct and we shall provide a copy of this correspondence in the submittal documentation. Under uploads section in MR c1 is written: "No credit uploads available for credit `MRc1` within project". Have You got any idea how shall we upload a copy of correspondence for final construction application?

Construction final review acceptance

July 13, 2016

Hi
I just recieved the Construction final review for a project but when I try to accept the review, the following message appears:

"Final acceptance is not allowed - Changed credits exists"

Has this happened to anyone? What can I do?

Thanks for your time

Constructive input I hope

Constructive input I hope

July 13, 2016

I'm not sure who might agree or not but it seems to me that breaking up this forum into specific credits for specific LEED categories is not the best approach. This makes post views in some credits virtually unseen.

Part of the problem is that I seem to be one of the only creatures on the planet using V4 Homes so no one visits that forum and I have gotten very few solutions, if any, to my issues. And some of my questions have been so general that they could have been posted in the general forum and probably would have gotten multiple responses there. But if there's' still a way to post to the general forum, I'm not able to figure it out.
Advice?

LEED for Homes Midrise and v4

July 12, 2016

We have a client with a 7 story midrise residential project. We have always used LEED NC for their projects because they prefer it. That approach has always worked. We are trying to determine what happens with v4, and we are confused by the way the guidance is presented. Has anything really changed with respect to our ability to select LEED NC for a 6-8 story residential midrise project?

Project phases vs LEED certification approach?

Project phases vs LEED certification approach?

July 10, 2016

Dear all,

I'm wondering what certification approach I can propose for a poduction site consisting of 3 construction phases (like building extensions over different period of time):
phase 1 was built about 10 years ago and got LEED silver v2.2;
phase 2 was built about 5 years ago and the application for LEED silver v3 was stopped (because of lack of Fundamental Commissioning / assigned Commissioner Authority, lack of proper design documentation, lack of finalized energy model, undocumented design changes on site and lack of LEED construction recordings on site);
phase 3: going to be build, and it's again aiming LEED, but this certification would need to be for all phases.

So what is a approperiate approach, leed system and scheme for this situation? Phase 1&2 are together 55000 sqm and phase 3 will be 25000 sqm. All to be working as one single building with warehoises, storage and offices in it. I appreciate your quick feedback on this many thanks in advance.

Industrial Distribution Center - WareHouse and Office Buidling

Industrial Distribution Center - WareHouse and Office Buidling

July 4, 2016

We are planning to construct 70.000 ft² warehouse distribution and associated office space about 7.000 ft² (warehouse is ten (10) times bigger than associated office space). So that each warehouse distribution and associated office space means 77.000 ft², to be rented in the future. So LEED CS has been selected. We have no idea about the future tenant.
This scheme will be replicated 10 times, inside a total boundary project, that means 770.000 ft².
My question: would it be possible to concentrate the effort pursuing LEED CS in office buildings and exclude warehouse distribution area? That means to certify the Office Space (LEED CS) and exclude the no- conditioned warehouse area.
My second question: Shall we go through Campus Approach or Group Approach?
Thanks in advance. BR David
