Design of flexibility - Can an open ceiling be counted as an accessible ceiling?

Hi LEED experts, my interior Office wants to have an open ceiling, where people can see and access the piping, ductwork system, and HVAC machines hanging below the ceiling structure.

We have a project that has no exterior lighting - not even emergency egress, as the travel paths go through an existing, compliant building.

7 Stories Residential Building with 43 Dwelling Units

We are working on a new project, 7 Stories Residential Building with 43 Dwelling Units. The only non-unit spaces are the corridors connecting the dwelling units.
