Zero Lot Line with required streetscapeNC-v4.1 MPR2: Must use reasonable LEED boundariesposted by Elena Khoury on Apr 11, 2023, 11:42 amCan streetscape can be excluded from a project boundary if it's required by municipality? For context, there's civil and landscape work that's occuring in front of my project that is required/funded by DPW, so it's showing up in our civil drawings. However, I would like to know if we can exclude that work so we can count the project as a zero lot line property. MPR2 ... |

Separate measurement of cold and hot lines for healthcare water usesHealthcare-v4 WEc4: Water meteringposted by Mark Benson on Apr 26, 2023, 12:21 pmFor healthcare projects, projects must "install water meters in any five" water uses listed. However, many of these water uses, such as dietary, laundry, laboratory, etc. include both cold and hot water lines. Therefore, would separate meters on the cold and hot water lines for dietary department count as two of the five meters required? If not, the credit could require 10 meters or more if the intent is to measure both cold and hot water use for these healthcare water uses. WEc4 United States ... |

what is considered open space?Schools-NC-v4 SSc3: Open spaceposted by ILDA SHALLO on May 17, 2023, 10:55 amI want to make sure that my calculations are correct for this credit. The example 2 on Reference Guide about this credit doesn't take the Lawn into the account. Is this true? So neither the sidewalks or the parking lot nor the grass area is considered an Open Space anymore? Thanks in advance. SSc3 ... |

Zone Secondary Recirculation FractionNC-v4 EQp1: Minimum indoor air quality performanceposted by Dave Hubka on Jun 19, 2023, 9:53 amunits. Based on the mechanical schedules provided in PI Project Information, the terminal units are shut-off VAV boxes (non-fan-powered); therefore, the Er value should be zero or left blank. So I guess Er is zero for non-fan powered boxes. But do not understand the logic. EQp1 ... |

Renewable energyEBOM-v4.1 EAp3: Energy Performanceposted by SAMY Chamy on Jun 23, 2023, 9:16 amHi Team, We have received an inquiry from a large corporation with more than 20 buildings on the same campus that has 2.5 MW of solar on its roof and operates with net metering (supplying the Solar PV electricity generation to the grid and using the grid power for the entire campus). Now They plan for LEED EB O&M and LEED zero carbon and energy for one of the buildings on the same campus,... |

Providing a Link to Label instead of an actual certificate?NC-v4 EQc2: Low-emitting materialsposted by Azra on Jul 12, 2023, 4:54 amHello all, we are in a process of product release for a project, and we have lots of products with a Blue Angel Label, which is LEED conform for VOC content. What we do not have, and can not find, are specific documents like a certificate in PDF from Blue Angel to use as proof of compliance, there is only the mark on the Data Sheet and it is listed in the Blue Angel official website. Would a link to the product on the label's website be enough for compliance, if the Label is one of "LEED Acceptable Labels"? 100s of products in this case are to be released and chance of getting a certificate... |

Future medical office building- views methodologyCS-v4.1 EQc5: Quality Viewsposted by Jeremy Shiman on Aug 14, 2023, 10:45 amWe are pursuing the Quality Views credit on a CS project that was originally going to be the shell for a tech client, but will now be the shell for a MOB. We have tentative floor plan layouts for the MOB from the interior team, but MOB's have lots of interior rooms without access to daylight, similar to a hospital. As such, we certainly won't comply with the typical requirements. I'm wondering if anyone has pursued this credit in a similar situation and used the LEED for Healthcare guidelines for how to calculate Quality Views compliant area, rather than using the more general quality... |

LEED v4.1 O+M, Energy and Atmosphere- Energy Performance- Arc Platform- CHPEBOM-v4.1 EAp3: Energy Performanceposted by Flotra Stamm on Dec 20, 2023, 6:44 amWe have a question regarding filling out the data information in ARC platform for a CHP. It produces heat (natural Gas) and electricity. The question is now how to asign the electricity that is produced onsite and also the electricty that is counted as an energy input. As far as we understand it, there is only the option for 'generated onsite- renewable' not for other options. For electricity we have the meters:- purchased from grid- electricity input - electricity production Thanks a lot in advance for any help or advise!:) EAp3 Germany ... |
