Paul Conrad Energy Engineer CLEAResult Consulting LEEDuser Basic Member 346 thumbs up September 21, 2010- 10:10 am Jonathon, I haven't had this particular issue as yet, but most of the forms allow you to add as many lines as necessary in LEED v3. If that doesn't work, I agree that submitting the comcheck forms would be the best work-around. Paul Log in or register to post comments ...

Jason Franken Sustainability Professional LEEDuser Expert 608 thumbs up May 6, 2010- 3:55 pm Yep, that's exactly right. The USGBC will not accept any sort of custom calculations for WEp1 so they really want to ensure that everyone uses the calculators they provide in the credit form to show that the prerequisite is met before attempting WEc2. Emily Catacchio Sustainability Specialist Wight and Company LEEDuser Basic Member 610 thumbs up September 16, 2010- 11:28 am Hi Chris,For each credit within IO you can choose to follow option A or option B. Option A allows you to get an IO point for an EP within EBOM, while Option B allows you to propose your own strategy (one not outlined in EBOM). You have these options for each credit and you can earn 1 IO point for the completion of each credit. I believe the line under option A is referring to you only being able to earn one point per credit. You can earn a total of 1-4 points under IO, one...

a LEED-certified building. At my previous firm, that was consistently presented to clients as being anywhere from $120k to $200k just to cover the documentation for the project, and it was treated as a separate line item from the design fee. I know a lot of architects who treat it like that. I had a LEED for Schools project that went through a very painful cost-cutting exercise which not only eliminated the LEED...

CI-2009 MRc4: Recycled Content

Tristan Roberts Representative Vermont House of Representatives LEEDuser Expert 11477 thumbs up September 10, 2010- 9:09 am Ryan, you may already be on top of this, but I think it's important to reframe this question a little bit. There is no such thing as a product that meets the MRc4 criteria. What you are looking for is for your materials budget as a whole to have enough recycled content to meet the credit thresholds. It's possible and likely that many purchases will have zero verifiable recycled content, but they're balanced by purchases that do. If you read our advice above under...

I filled in additional lighting power allowance table online. But i found for the decorative lighting the additional lighting power allowance is zero and i can't change. The additonal lighting power allowance should be equal to the installed additional lighting power which apply the use it or lose it. So how to solve this problem? EAp2 ...

Turf Grass in Calculations

NC-2009 WEc1: Water Efficient Landscaping
posted by Omer Moltay on Sep 5, 2010, 5:22 am

Our landscape features a lot of areas with trees and shrubs located over turf grass. In other words, the groundcover is completely turf grass. I know that if, for example, groundcover and trees are found together in an area, then the category "mixed" is to be used for that area. I would also like to use the values for "mixed" category for the proposed design for the turfg grass-shrub/ tree combination areas, but my conscience tells me that in reality turf grass is much more water hungry than reflected by the "mixed" category. What is your experience with proposed case...
