CS-2009 SSc5.1: Site development - protect or restore habitat

Tristan Roberts Representative Vermont House of Representatives LEEDuser Expert 11477 thumbs up January 25, 2011- 10:00 am They could theoretically count toward SSc5.2, due to the provision that says that for projects earning SSc2, green roofs and pedestrian-oriented hardscape can qualify. However, in practice, a parking lot with potted plants doesn't sound to me like "pedestrian-oriented hardscape."Relative to SSc5.1, this area definitely would not count, since the focus is more on plant and wildlife habitat. Reclaimed Restaurant Tables

CI-2009 IEQc4.5: Low-emitting materials - systems furniture and seating
posted by Max Calabro on Nov 30, 2010, 2:17 pm

I'm working on a Platinum-seeking CI restaurant, and this credit is causing us some problems. We're custom-building tables from reclaimed wood, and it looks like independent testing is approaching prohibitively expensive for the project. We have a lot of control on the build of the tables, and could easily track all materials used in their construction. We will also have some other furniture (barstools, chairs) which will be Greenguard certified to meet this credit. So:-Could our dining tables count as Occasional Furniture since they are easily moved, etc?-Could we track all materials rather than...

Steve Khouw Principal DNA GreenDesign LEEDuser Basic Member 169 thumbs up January 24, 2011- 10:26 pm Augusto, for completing a Compliance Form you cannot leave any field blank. If you have nothing to enter, just input a zero "0" that should do the trick. If you click on Save in the form, you can modify it later. You can continually updating your form so long as the credit is marked as "In Progress," as can be seen in the Credit Information view within the Credit Details pane. Amy Rider Sustainability Manager KEMA Services LEEDuser Basic Member 161 thumbs up January 21, 2011- 2:45 pm First of all, please double check your math. 600 cubic meters per day is an awful lot of water to have to store, divert for an alternative use and/or infiltrate. Sizing your storage facility will depend on several factors including how you intend to use the water and the frequency of your rain events. Once you know your daily usage demands I recommend talking with a civil engineer and/or storage tank vendor for sizing assistance. Your approach to determining the 24 hour design storm looks...
