How to calculate Floor Area to be Ventilated?

When we have a Naturally Ventilated Space, we can use an alarm to indicate that the openings are close.

Someone know if I can use an light alarm? or I must use an sound alarm...

In the IEQp1 calculation form, provided by USGBC for using in LEED v4, in the Occupancy Category pull-down menu, there is nothing related to equipment rooms, non-occupied stores...
