BIFMA Level and IEQc4.5CI-2009 IEQc4.5: Low-emitting materials - systems furniture and seatingposted by Tristan Roberts on Jan 24, 2011, 2:28 pmI recently got a question about whether a BIFMA "level" certificate (that's BIFMA's multi-attribute green furniture certification) can be used for documenting IEQc4.5. I thought I would post what I learned. If furniture is level certified, it does not automatically mean that it meets the credit criteria because, similar to LEED, there are multiple paths to meet the certified level, and the path the product might have taken may not line up with LEED's IEQc4.5 requirements. If the product earned the 7.6.1 point, it would meet IEQc4.5. The dates of testing/certification must also... Last reply: Roxanne Button, Dec 15, 2014, 7:58 am |

Industrial process facilities & LEED definition of a buildingNC-2009 SSc7.1: Heat island effect - nonroofposted by Susan Di Giulio on Mar 30, 2011, 7:16 pmMy question concerns what is and is not a building for LEED purposes. We are currently involved in a LEED NC project on the vast working campus of a regional utility. The building which we wish to certify is about 30,000 SF, with 1500 SF of regularly occupied space. The rest of the building is circulation and support spaces (storage, data, etc.) and 25,000 SF of industrial process, not conditioned. The energy model will only include this building. Our LEED project boundary, established by the area within the same contract, is several acres, and it contains lots of man-made stuff and structures... Tenant Scope, Owner Scope, Tenant GuidelinesCS-2009 EAp2: Minimum Energy Performanceposted by Jennifer Preston on Feb 16, 2011, 11:13 amI'm sure this questions has be asked before, but I cant seem to find the answer. Do forgive me if its repetitive. Where is the line between tenant scope, owner scope and the Tenant Guidelines? For example, the owner on our project intends for tenants to be responsible for the installation of insulation and sheet-rocking the walls of each of their spaces. The owner will only provide the raw space. But without insulation as part of the CS energy model I cant imagine meeting EApr2. Is it possible to submit the tenant agreement to a particular level of insulation as proof of compliance? For which... Last reply: Christopher Schaffner, Jun 26, 2011, 11:38 pm |
