Dear All, Our CxA has produced functional tests that are simpler than we have expected. Our expectations were in line with sample tests found in ASHRAE guidelines or the peci.org website. The CxA tells us that for LEED simpler tests are OK, where only the result of the test as "COMPLIANCE" or "NON COMPLIANCE" are presented on the test forms. We would appreciate your comments on this. Checking calibration of thermostats, confirming supply temperatures, confirming functionality of lighting controls... Are the retro- commissioning items you are referring to similar to an outside air balance or another larger maintenance service? Thank you for the buildinggreen post. I work for a company that does a lot of new building Cx, so I would like bring up that that are some pretty major updates on the Cx requirements too, such as more systems required to be commissioned. I see that as a step forward to make LEED more stringent, resulting in better performing buildings. ...
