Define "no new parking"- project site is a former parking lotNC-2009 SSc4.4: Alternative transportation - parking capacityposted by Jill Ziegler on Mar 17, 2011, 12:04 pmMy project is being built on an old parking lot in a previously developed, campus-style site. The LEED site boundary will be drawn around this building only. When all is said and done, and when comparing old site map to new, there will be 60 fewer parking spaces. The spots that are retained and fall within the boundary will be redone/moved. Does this count as "no new parking?" SSc4.4 ... Last reply: David Posada, Mar 17, 2011, 5:05 pm |

This is a bit of a grey area and can be difficult to draw a line. For an IT room it seems like it would be more throuble than it may be worth. Any reason you may want to model it as process? Claiming savings? Under 25%? LEED for NC or LEED for Homes?LEED Rating System Selectionposted by Jennifer Marston on Jan 10, 2011, 2:50 pmHello, My question is also about the rating system selection. We are considering LEED certification for a new construction project that will consist of 3 commercial retail spaces on the first floor and 9 condominium units total on the second and third floors. The lot is zoned commercial and it is in the town business district. Using the rating system selector, it seems that we technically (because of the commercial zoning) could use the NC rating system, but it also seems that if we hire a Homes provider, that the condominiums could be LEED for Homes certified, but what would we do with the commercial area...
