Tristan Roberts Representative Vermont House of Representatives LEEDuser Expert 11477 thumbs up May 12, 2010- 5:12 am Rachael, unfortunately LEEDuser can't answer your fee question because, well, it's tough to answer because of the specifics involved in a project, but also because  we can't be seen as dictating what a fee "should" be.I do think that HVAC companies may have staff with the qualifications to do an audit, just keep an eye out for biases. And if you don't like the quote you get, see if you can shop around a bit. A lot of this also depends on your...

Log in or register to post comments Rob Watson CEO ECON Group LEEDuser Basic Member 170 thumbs up May 7, 2010- 5:14 pm It mostly has to do with the dust-holding capacity of the filter and how dusty the air is. Generally, when your pressure drop gets above 1.5 inches you need to change your filter. If there's a lot of plastering and sanding going on, then you might need to change the filter in less than three...

Because the new addition is not less than 2 times the original area of the library credits MRc1.1 and MRc1.2 do not apply. There is no mention of the lot size to verify that the project meets that requirement. That said, I believe that the correct answer should be D) for all of the material reuse on site. LEED ...

Paul Conrad Energy Engineer CLEAResult Consulting LEEDuser Basic Member 346 thumbs up June 11, 2010- 8:29 am You're correct that LEED is asking for you to complete all of the forms except the sections they specifically note. However, you mention in the first line that this is a "Non-LEED certified building" do you mean that you're applying for CI on a buildout of a building that isn't LEED certified, or that you're following a "LEED-like" process but aren't submitting to the USGBC? Roger Chang Principal, Energy and Engineering Leader DLR Group | Westlake Reed Leskosky LEEDuser Expert 398 thumbs up June 2, 2010- 8:11 pm Before LEED v3.0, we would submit our own spreadsheets with ventilation calculations and they were usually approved or we were given minor comments on adjustments to make during the review process. I think it is unreasonable to expect teams to completely duplicate this work on projects with a lot of ventilation zones. I would submit your spreadsheet, include a detailed narrative, and at least see what the review comments are. The worst outcome would be that they reject...

Jill Perry, PE Consultant Jill Perry, LLC LEEDuser Expert 440 thumbs up June 9, 2010- 11:50 am Neetu, Thank you for your question and your interest in LEED and daylighting. Please consider that as a sustainable practice, the design you describe is not recommended. A lot of glazing does not (necessarily) maximize the use of daylight and it also does not benefit energy efficiency (as you probably know). If I do say so myself, I think you might benefit from the services of a qualified daylighting designer. I happen to know someone who is available.;) To answer your LEED question, I believe the answer is no....
