Pilot Credit vs EAc5Pilot-Credits PC27: Reconcile Designed and Actual Energy Performanceposted by Sara Goenner Curlee on Oct 18, 2013, 3:43 pmI am working on a LEED NCv2.2 academic building which has completed its EAc5 Measurement and Verification effort. I am trying to understand how EAc5 and the pilot credit differ. Is it an accurate to say the pilot credit requires the analysis of the EAc5 findings in the form of a final report? Any insight would be most helpful. It would seem like these two would build on each other, therefore both could be pursued by a single project. I'm having a hard time drawing the line between where one "stops" and the other picks-up. Thank you! PC27 ... Last reply: Sara Goenner Curlee, Nov 1, 2013, 10:27 am |

Irrigation of internal planting areasNC-2009 WEc1: Water Efficient Landscapingposted by Victoria Lockhart on Oct 23, 2013, 6:22 amTristan Roberts Representative Vermont House of Representatives LEEDuser Expert 11477 thumbs up November 3, 2013- 1:38 pm To my knowledge this is an area that has not been addressed in official LEED rulings or language. I think that most projects could consider a couple planters in the lobby and a few potted plants as outside the scope of this credit. However, a large atrium incorporating trees that may warrant a permanent irrigation system could be crossing a line, in my opinion. Does it meet the credit intent better to include them, or not? Club House CertificationNC-2009 MPR5: Must comply with minimum occupancy ratesposted by Mauricio Torres on Nov 11, 2013, 1:36 pmHello, we would like to know if it is possible to certifying only the Club House in a residential condominium (new construction). The condominium is closed to outsiders and the club house is for insiders' exclusive use. The club house is an isolated building and its occupation won't be regular as it depends on parties, events, etc. Besides, how to define the club house building area to the condominium area? Shall we take into account the area of the individual lots (for each house), the streets and the parks? Thank you in advance! Regards. MPR5 ... Last reply: Tristan Roberts, Dec 18, 2013, 2:31 pm |

IEQc8.2 Exemplary PerformanceCS-2009 IEQc8.2: Daylight and views - viewsposted by Ron Dean on Jan 7, 2014, 3:23 pmTODD REED Energy Program Specialist PA DMVA LEEDuser Expert 888 thumbs up January 7, 2014- 4:04 pm The drawing should be done in plan. From the occupants location, draw a line to the center of each one of the views available to the occupant. The angle between the views must be at least 90 degrees. The occupant has to turn their head at least 90 degrees to see the other view. When it comes to documenting exemplary performance for this credit, and image is priceless. The credit can be deferred until construction so an image(s) can be taken to document the requirements. This method is very useful... Last reply: Jill Perry, PE, Jan 12, 2014, 9:03 am |
