Exterior lighting not yet designed

NC-2009 EAp2: Minimum Energy Performance
posted by Vassil Vassilev on Jun 27, 2017, 4:20 am

Greetings, The project we are modeling at the moment is supposed to have exterior lighting for the facades, some parking lots and some walkways. The exact LPD however is still to be calculated and will be ready at a later stage. The question is: Should we apply the LPD as per the standard to the Proposed and to the Baseline (equal values) or there are some other rules. Your advice is highly appreaciated as allways. Thanks. Low-Impact Development strategy- Rainwater harvest+dry-wells

NC-v4 SSc4: Rainwater management
posted by Claudio Bonalda on Sep 20, 2017, 8:21 am

Dear all, I am working on a project (NC-V4, not zero-lot line) with a rainwater harvest for flushing toilets and for irrigation. The harvest capacity is about the 20% of the run-off volume, while the rest is managed through a dry-wells system (after a contaminant and pollutant cleaning treatment). As a result, all the run-off volume goes into the aquifer and nothing goes into the urban sewerage. Could the combination of rainwater harvest and dry-wells be considered as a Low-Impact Development strategy?  I took a look on EPA website, but I haven't found any clarification about it. Thanks,...

Just noticed this line while reading the reference guide for the 10,000th time and it may have been overlooked by me previously, looking for any other thoughts/experiences/suggestions. Under "Changes from LEED 2009" it states that "emissions requirements for on-site, wet-applied, full-spread products... are now included. VOC content limits for on-site, wet-applied products are still required" This implies to me that "non-full" spread interior on-site, wet-applied products, may have been exempt from the General Emissions evaluation criteria. What is the definitition...
