Building is on National Register of Historic Places. Extensive woodwork to be refurbiished and reused but will also require replacement to copy original patterns etc throughout finished project...

Technically there is no requirement in LEED to stop you from registering and certifying a project that has already begun construction. But it can be tough, as Jean notes.
