If building next to an existing parking lot, which will serve the new structure, does the parking lot footprint need to be included in the LEED project boundaries?  Assume there will be minor

Retail FTE Access

This core and shell office building has retail on the ground level. There are locker rooms and bike storage on this level but no direct interior access from the retail spaces to these facilities.

There will be no physical separation between the existing building and the extension (no walls).
