Which area type should be considered for simulation?

A question has been raised regarding which space area (GROSS or NET) should be considered into the simulation thermal blocks conception in order to result in the most accurate results.

Furniture/systems furniture use in IEQc8.1

I've been trying to find a confirming statement that either includes or excludes furniture/systems furniture from the daylight calculations of IEQc8.1, but have not been successful.

Water feature pumps

We are designing a dry water feature on a campus app guide project. The pumps will be on a limited schedule. How will the pumps be factored into the energy credit? thanks for your help

Separate Heating and Cooling District Energy Systems

Our project is located on a University campus with two separate DES buildings. One DES building houses all the chilled water equipment including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.

We had to use the Case 2 calculator because our building was too small to qualify for an Energy Star rating.
