local code IEQ requirements

In New York the local code does not follow IBC or ASHRAE 62.1. It requires 20cfm/person and 0cfm/sf.

Could a sliding patio door contribute to the total operable wall area in a naturally ventilated space, or is it windows only? (per ASHRAE 62.1-2007 paragraph 5.1)
