Does Open Space have to be preserved for the life of the building?  This previous v2009 requirement seems to have been removed from v4.  Can anyone confirm? Thanks

Do private roof decks for condo units count towards this credit?

To satisfy SSc3 open space requirement, "A minimum of 25% of that outdoor space must be vegetated (turf grass does not count as vegetation) or have overhead vegetated canopy."

If I were designing a two-way running path, with each direction of travel to be separated by a (narrow) raised garden bed along the edge of my site, would this area count towards "garden space

I have a leed boundary of 100 acre out of which 40 acre is green field and 60 acre is previously developed.

Could be the area under a covered walkway (an exterior portico) be considered as an open space?
