To satisfy SSc3 open space requirement, "A minimum of 25% of that outdoor space must be vegetated (turf grass does not count as vegetation) or have overhead vegetated canopy." 

I need the overhead vegetated area to be included in order to meet the requirement. However, in the LEED online credit form, they only have the column for " Area of open space that is vegetated" and do not have a separated column for "overhead vegetated canopy".

How should I deal with this situation?  Could I include the overhead vegetated canopy area when I fill in the calculation for the min.25% vegetated area and upload a diagram or narrative to explain?
