If the number of regular building occupants increases during the performance period but you’ve already conducted the survey, you do not need to re-do the survey. You can calculate the response rate based on the occupancy at the time of the survey.
Make sure that you provide documentation confirming the mercury content for at least 20% of the lamps purchased during the performance period, and for any lamps with no mercury-content that have been included in the purchasing plan, and be sure that the documentation easily aligns with the information provided in the credit form.
Facility alterations or additions projects must meet specific LEED criteria to qualify for credit under MRc9. To reduce confusion during the LEED review process, include a narrative in the credit form that clearly describes the scope of the alterations/addition. The narrative should demonstrate that the work meets the minimum requirements and should substantiate the list of diverted materials claimed in the credit form.
If you don't make any durable goods purchases during your regular performance period, you can extend the performance period for this credit back to include older qualifying purchases. Remember that the performance period for any prerequisite or credit can last for a maximum of 24 months, at the discretion of the project team, but all performance periods must overlap and terminate within 30 days of each other.
