NC-v4 EQc6:Interior lighting

Option 1: Smart-Phone Control

For option 1, is it acceptable for manual controls to be accomplished via a software interface rather than a physical switch? In the vision for this project, users can control lighting in their area from smartphones, tablets, or computers but physical switches will not be present. Does this meet the intent of option 1?

I would almost definitely think so. Seems like where the industry is heading, and is consistent with the idea of individual control, and switches.

Ian, How did GBCI respond in the review?

The project has been pretty significantly delayed, and I don't believe we have submitted for review yet.

We were successful with the lighting being controlled through a personalized automation application, controlled via mobile phones, desk phones and/or personal computers.
