demolition of existing facade

Some years ago the facade of an existing building was demolished. The facade was completely glazed. The structure of the building (pillars, beams) was conserved.

I have a project that bought and used rebar in their facility that was from a program called "Guns to Rebar". Guns were collected and melted down and sold as rebar.

Where are the guidelines on how to do this takeoff? Because parking is connected by vehicle circulation spaces as well is it correct to just use the area of the actual parking spaces?
