Offsite Renewable Energy

Our project will have a biofuel system that utilizes agricultural crops as the biofuel. Per the LEED reference guide this is considered to be renewable energy.

Thermal zone modeling

I have a building with two conditioned zones. One is dining and another is kitchen. Both zones has no wall and air can flow through each zone freely.

We are designing a 4 story building where the owner will occupy 3-1/2 floors of the building and another tenant will at some point occupy the remaining portion.

Indirectly Conditioned Bathrooms

I am using IES VE to model hotel type rooms that each have a separate bathroom. The bathrooms do not have any heating equipment, cooling equipment or thermostats in them.

Baseline during unoccupied hours

In an EAp2 appeal we were denied a 87 % cooling energy saving. The reviewer consider it unlighty to have cooling demand during winter during unoccupied hours.
