Lighting for Dormitories

NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

LEED Interpretations state that hard-wired lighting in residential units must be modeled identically in the baseline and proposed cases. Does this apply to college dormitories as well?

Derated Insulation

NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance
posted by  Todd Bundren  on

I had a response from an energy model reviewer indicating my r-value calculations are not acceptable because we failed to derate the 3.5" R-11 batt insulation per Table A9.28B of ASHREA 90.1-2007.

Does anybody know what is the average of energy cost savings reported to LEED/USGBC? We are just wondering to compare all projects overall. Thanks

Do the refrigeration system such as walk-in coolers or refrigeration cases must be detailed modeled in the simulation program (E+)? or is it possible consider them as a process loads?
