Has anyone tried to clean and lighten existing concrete to qualify for this credit?

Hi Everybody, I intended to meet SS 7.1 Heat Island Effect - Nonroof via Option 2 by covering all car parking spaces in vegetative shade.

I have a project with wood (not composite wood) deck areas. How does one determine the SRI of the wood? Is there a default value available for light, medium, or dark wood?

We are using a concrete based hardscape. The vendor's cutsheet contains the following information: "SRI for new concrete: 35; SRI for used concrete: 19".

Hi! We are using new light grey concrete and new light grey concrete stones on our site. LEED provides typical SRI values, f.ex.

The SSc7.1 credit form gives you the option to either manually enter the SRI if you know it, or to enter the emittance and reflectance values and let the form calculate for you.

Can the shade from tree canopy include trees that are outside of the project boundary?

A site has reflective pavement (SRI 29+) that is partially shaded by trees. Do I count that area as shaded and subtract it from the area of reflective pavement?

The client has decided to proceed with providing new asphalt paving instead of concrete, but they are planning on providing a coating or thermoplastic paint over.

Are unoccupied ancillary site buildings included in the credit? Or SSc7.2? Thanks for your feedback!
