NC-2009 SSc7.1:Heat Island Effect—Non-Roof

Comprobatory docs

We are using a concrete based hardscape. The vendor's cutsheet contains the following information: "SRI for new concrete: 35; SRI for used concrete: 19". He's caliming that overtime the product loses its ability to reflect heat. Thta said, does anyone know if LEED considers only the initial SRI of the product and if submitting a cutsheet with this tye of information could be confusing for the review team and can potentially jeopardize our intent? Marcio, I would use the SRI value of 35 for the new concrete. Typically, you don't need to upload cutsheets for this credit.

Folks should be aware that a 5/9/2011 Addendum (now Correction) to the Reference Guide changed the SRI value for typical new gray concrete from 35 to 38. See http://www.usgbc.org/leed-interpretations?keys=100000912 for BD+C and O+M (http://www.usgbc.org/leed-interpretations?keys=100000958 for ID+C (SSc1) and http://www.usgbc.org/leed-interpretations?keys=100000801 (dated 2/2/11) for ND Built Project (SSc3)).
