Summer, I think you could include trees outside the project boundary. Arguing against this would be the idea that you don't have control over whether those trees will be present in the future. However, this credit is pretty clearly measuring conditions at or near time of occupancy, not forever.

Ya, I agree with you. Trees around houses and green shading helps to control the weather.
