All, I know I had homework for the next call (letter to manufacturers for electric equipment).  I apologize as I; 1) have not had a chance to formally draft the letter as of yet and 2) can no longer make Tuesdays call (I just had a client meeting scheduled at that exact time and I cannot miss it). I am happy to draft the letter and discuss for next months call if that works for you all?  Or we could try to move the September call?  Let me know and again I apologize for the delay and changing schedule on my end. Thanks, Jeff

Ok, thanks for the heads-up, Jeff. I hate to cancel this month's call, but if we are to hold it we should have a good focus for our conversation. Is anyone else prepared to share and kick-off a conversation? Here's a list of possibilities coming out of the Summit:
  • Standard 209 dissemination (and results of our recent engagement with AIA on this)
  • Sharing plug load assumptions for load sizing and energy modeling
  • Indoor CO2: seeking better data on IAQ targets and thresholds. Draft of research needs/request.
  • Need for better building science, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics education of architectural engineers: Letter, direct outreach to AE educators.
Anyone want to volunteer? Nadav

I had a good conversation with Gail Brager at CBE a couple weeks ago related to the indoor CO2 research opportunity...and I have some details related to the new Harvard study.  If Luke is available to talk about what the NIST study currently entails on CO2 and the ASHRAE-62.1 committee schedule is I think we can have a productive discussion on Indoor CO2.

Fri, 09/06/2019 - 22:02

Sure.  15-30 minutes?

Sat, 09/07/2019 - 10:14

We would also like to discuss our very preliminary progress on the plug load benchmarking data and get feedback from the broader group.

Sat, 09/07/2019 - 10:21

Also, we can touch briefly on the Massachusetts Net Zero Stretch Code support letter.  For those of you with offices in MA, we would like your support in gathering signatures from people in your MA office and getting your firm to officially sign on.  https://usgbcma.org/net-zero-stretch-code-letter/
