For EPD Option 1 or MIR Option 1, it would seem you can just submit 20+ products with EPDs and not have to provide any material cost data whatsoever in the BPDO calculator, since the cost calculation apply only to Option 2 for all these credits. Can anyone confirm this - I can leave literally all material costs blank?
Or have reviewers been asking for the cost data as well? Let's assume the project is only submitting Option 1, no cost related calculation credits.

Would be great to get a response on this! We are also curious.

Correct. Just got my construction review back today, I did not submit costs and they did not ask for them.

I concur with Leanne. Costs are not required for Opt 1 of the EPD or MIR credits.

Hello,
We're doing a thesis about LEED. In order to finish our project we need to improve our building according to LEED categories and credits. At the materials and resources part we need some help, according to this we have some questions. Where can we find USGBCapproved materials and resources? If there is a list of them, where are they listed?

Salim, the USGBC does not approve or recommend specific building products or materials by brand or manufacturer. What you need to do is identify products and materials that meet the criteria as described in the MR credits. Review the credit requirements for each one and identify criteria for which you can find materials for your project. For example, find products with EPDs for MRc2.

Salim,
Here are some good resources for finding products that might help you achieve LEED Materials and Resources credits:
