Douglas Flandro has more than 20 years of design experience and a background in theater and film design. Holding a Masters of Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, Douglas is especially interested in innovative sustainability practices, sustainable exhibit design, new technologies, immersive experiences, experiential graphic design and hands-on interactive exhibits. Since joining Cambridge Seven, he has designed exhibits and graphics for numerous science museums, children's museums, nature and visitor centers, aquariums, and zoos. He has taught computer design courses at the Wentworth Institute of Technology and has served as a guest lecturer at the Rhode Island School of Design. He is also a contributing author to the section on Museums and Exhibit Spaces in the design reference book, Interior Graphic Standards, Wiley 2003.
