Hello all,
I am noticing that more and more product declarations and VOC testing is going to expire in 2022.
As a LEED consultant how do I ask the product manufacturer's to re-test?
Thank you.

I would think most major manufacturers would just automatically retest, but it would probably be good practice to ask your local reps to get confirmation that the products will be retested.
There is the added fun of collecting the certificates now (that are currently valid) for the first half of the project, and then needing to get the new certificate for the second half of the project construction schedule. If you can realistically explain that the installation of a particular material occured with the earlier certificate you would probably be OK, but if you have a phased project, chances are your materials will need multiple certificates to show they were valid during order/installation.

Agreed, you have to ask! For manufacturers that are juggling a lot, especially with COVID, some are not on top of all these deadlines. If you're counting on something, let them know. As they budget their time and cert spend, this also has the benefit of letting them know that these certificates matter to you.
