I'm trying to get clear confirmation of whether automatic blinds/shutters can be used to help with achieving the ASE requirements in LEEDV4. If the project confirms it has automatic blinds/shutters, do you just ignore ASE all together and what documentation would need to be provided for this when applying for the credits under option 1 sDA/ASE (Assuming sDA thresholds are met)?

Yes, ASE can be ignored, LEED Interpretation #100002149 will clarify your question. https://www.usgbc.org/leedaddenda/100002149
Where the LI does not specify what needs to be provided to confirm the installation of the automated system, i would submit enough proof that it is part of the project. Specifications, purchase orders, drawings, images would work along with a sequence of operation and the location of the sensors.

ASE for the should still be reported for each space, with a note claiming exemption for Automated Dynamic Facade Systems. I agree with Todd that supporting evidence of the Automated Dynamic Facade System products and light transmission characteristics be provided.
