Dane Sanders has worked as a lighting designer since 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering, with an emphasis in Illumination from the University of Colorado-Boulder, Dane’s design experience includes three months in London, England, and two years in Sydney, Australia with projects completed in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. His project experience includes offices, schools, exhibits, museum and display lighting, visitor centers, hospitality, roadway, site, and landscape. Several of his projects are LEED certified, including the new USGBC Headquarters (the first LEED 2009 Platinum project), and Hannaford Brothers (the first LEED Platinum supermarket). Dane is proficient in using lighting calculation software including AGI, and in daylight modeling. His interests include daylighting for sustainable design, graphics and light as art. Dane has presented at the USGBC GreenBuild in 2006, GSA Capital Campaign Workshop, and at the ArchLED’08 and ArchLED’09 conferences in Chicago.
