I've seen several questions on this forum that address task lighting, but I still am a bit confused.
For cubicles, we intend to provide task lighting to meet the individual occupant space control requirements. To meet the on/off/midlevel requirement: Are these task lights required to be dimmed? Or would we be able to provide two linear task lights that are controlled separately from each other (50% light level)?
Do we need to consider the overhead lighting above the cubicles at all? Our design intent is that each occupant would have control of their own task lighting at their cubicle, but the overhead lighting will not be controlled such that each occupant has control of the lighting directly above their cubicle. The overhead lighting will be switched in up to 2 zones with a control station near the entrance to the open office space. If you think about it, this could affect the "midlevel" task lighting control in a way that it ends up not actually being a midlevel. Does this still meet the credit intent?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!
