I have a project that was submitted under LEED BD+C Core & Shell. Our office is new to the process for LEED and we are confused as to what is intended to be included in the submission documents. The building is a renovation of a four story building with offices on the first two floors, one of which is ours, and apartments on the upper two floors. The renovation of the building and construction of our office space and the apartments were conducted at the same time from the same construction documents. The confusion is as to whether the materials included in the LEED submission documents should include the office space and apartments or just the common areas that would essentially serve the building not the tenants. Is there a cut off point as to what is included in the LEED submission documents? Not sure if interior spaces should be included or left separate for separate certifications? Same general question for other credit categories?

Thomas, the most straightforward approach and what I'd recommend is to include all the materials that were installed in the construction scope of your project.
